Chinese dictionary
Chúngbyān Gwóyŭ Tsŕdyăn
(Revised Dictionary of Standard Chinese), revised edition
is a complete copy of the 6-volume dictionary by the same name,
with updated content.
Excellent searching capabilities. Very good definitions,
with examples and notes on usage.
Not “complete”, but probably the best you can find on the net;
it's even more convenient to use than the paper copy.
Lin Yutang's Chinese-English Dictionary of Modern Usage
is a complete copy of the dictionary by the same name.
Excellent searching capabilities. Very good definitions.
Pronunciations of Chinese words given in pinyin;
Cantonese pronunciations can be looked up through a link.
Unfortunately, because the dictionary is quite old,
the translations may sound somewhat archaic.
Chinese Character Dictionary
lets you look up characters with various different methods,
provides you with both Mandarin and Cantonese pronunciations,
and contains data for both traditional and simplified characters.
Only definitions are provided (no examples).
Cantonese pronunciations are not provided for simplified characters.
Yahoo!-Kimo Dictionary
is a convenient tool if you don't have a real dictionary on your desk,
but the quality of its contents is not very good.
Okay definitions, with some examples (sometimes with mistakes).
Requires a graphical browser to be fully functional;
Chinese-English search does not work in text browsers.
Its advantage is its inclusion of new words, slang, etc.

Fairly easy to use if you know the English term,
